Travels with a Gourmet

a food lover's travels, memorable meals, culinary trials and gastronomic experiences

After finishing Orlando Murrin’s A Table in the Tarn and reading about his work before he moved to France, I bought oliveone of the three BBC magazines on food and cooking he helped create and I’m so glad I did.

Its’ concept of – eat in (for recipes), eat out (for restaurants), eat away (for travel) – is informative and interesting.  The recipes are seasonal and simple, the restaurant reviews straightforward and the travel articles informative and well-written.  It’s a pity I can’t buy it here in Spain but I do get a chance to pick up a copy when I cross the border to Gibraltar and  do my shopping at Morrisons.
